Creative Fun

Just recently over on my Facebook Page  I had a Colouring In Competition/Giveaway collaborating with a wonderful children's clothing boutique called Loveaboo.  It was huge fun to see the drawings sent in as well as hearing how much everyone enjoyed it.  I thought you'd enjoy seeing a selection of them, Artists in the making!

Amber - she loves colouring

"My children have had a wonderful time colouring in the picture you posted with the competition.  My son said he'd added black clouds because the Bunny had to rush outside to bring the washing in as a storm was coming!  It was nice that they actually sat together and did it, talking about what the Bunny was doing."

Mum and Baby Creativity - Sarah and her 17 month old daugther, Mya Evelyn
"We thoroughly enjoyed it, so thank you so much for providing the picture.  I love encouraging Mya to be creative."

This competition was open to all ages so I was thrilled to also have this entry from Charlotte of the totally gorgeous Traditional Toy shop, Cottontails.  The rabbit even has the same colouring as her rabbit, Rudolph!

The mischievous but oh so cute Rudolph!  Follow his adventures on
Cottontail's Facebook Page

The Winner selected at random - Martha 3 years old

Martha selected my personalised Fun of the Fair Print as her prize and I got this precious photo and message when it arrived.

"Martha was over the moon to see the parcel with her name on it. Her face just lit up and she was so pleased with her gifts. Thank you again. You have made her feel very special and the picture is just lovely. X"

Autumn has arrived and I am busily creating some exciting new items for Winter & Christmas creativity including some adorable Felt Ornament Sewing Kits!
Keep up to date with daily news on my Facebook page.

Kitten Mischief

I was recently commissioned to create a painting to celebrate a little girl's 2nd Birthday. She loves the 3 Kittens Nursery Rhyme, so I came up with an illustration of 3 kittens getting up to mischief!  It is funny how things in your life can inspire your Art, a month ago I finished knitting this cardigan/jacket, the first time I'd knitted a garment for myself.  You'll see below how it has appeared in my illustration without even thinking about it.  Just glad the birds in my garden didn't unravel it!

So much time, effort and love goes into my Art that I thought you might enjoy a peek into my work in progress.

Starting with traditional pen and pencil

 Gradually layering the watercolors

The finished piece, Kitten Mischief, now also available as a Print in my Etsy Shop here

The excitement doesn't stop there as I have a VERY special Giveaway & collaboration running over on my Facebook Page.  Running until Friday morning (UK time).

Yes, there is even a colouring page I illustrated especially for your little ones to enjoy, giving you time to decide what you would choose if you won! You can also find this on my Facebook page. Just save to your computer, print & have fun!  Any questions just send me a note.
